Cole Haynes , Memorial Sloan Kettering, USA
Cole Haynes is an assistant member in the Cell Biology Program at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He received a BS in biology at Truman State University and a PhD at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He established his own lab in 2009 focusing on how cells adapt to mitochondrial dysfunction via a mitochondrial-to-nuclear signaling pathway known as the mitochondrial unfolded protein response. His main interest lies in understanding how the UPRmt is regulated and how this stress response is integrated into overall cell and organismal physiology.
